    I posted a link to the original story a while back ...the kid was released into his grandma's care yesterday....still will go to trial. Been hearing a lot of rumors ...al pretty bad concerning the kids situation....Some are saying severe abuse!!! Rumors of a meth lab all sorts of crap. Hard to sort out the facts from fiction... A guy told me last note that this ten yr old is about the size of a five yr old... and there are more rumors that the kid can't comprehend the charges against him!!!
    Sad case indeed!!!
    I'm not sure that I agree with pursuing life in the pokey for a ten yr old kid...at least not without reviewing him at 21!!!

    from what i heard this case is just a mess all around. however, one thing struck me as very odd....the mother escaped the fire without a scratch but two of her kids died in the fire ? most parents i know would have burned to death trying to save their kids. she apparently didnt think it was worth the effort.

    I should add that another rumor was the grandma has been seeking custody of the child for some time!!!
    that speaks volumes to me if true... what was this child exposed to!!!

    Found the latest///local paper!!!
    GREENVILLE, Ohio -- A judge in Darke County has ordered that a 10-year-old suspect in a deadly fire be released to the custody of his maternal grandmother.

    The juvenile court judge in Greenville told a packed court Monday morning that the boy is also a victim.

    Dozens of people gathered outside the Darke County Courthouse and carried signs in hopes that the judge would release the 10-year-old from juvenile detention and were happed when he did, placing the boy on house arrest.

    In court, the boy's attorney denied the charges against the boy, which include five counts of murder and one count of aggravated arson.

    He said the boy is a good student; however, he still cannot grasp the seriousness of the charges filed against him and the rights he legally has. Five people, including the boy's mother and step-sister died in the fire.

    The judge also ordered the boy to get grief counseling and to continue his studying, which means he will have to find some type of alternative schooling.

    that was the initial story but I believe the mother did die and the survivior was an aunt or something!!

    Having delt with these same police I know how they operate.
    Get a confesion quick so we can go home for dinner.
    Tried to pin a robbery on me. I was at work at that time 20 miles away. They kept me in jail for 68 hours, and questioned me 8 times.
    When they let me go I was told they'd be watching me, so I left the state, hope that cost them to keep on watching me.
    This police department is a JOKE........Was then and still is.

    Lived and worked in Tipp City. Back then a real bump in the road.
    Lived there when they got their first trafic light.
    Learned to late not to drive through Greenville, crus'in.
    Left in '63 for the army, easyest way out of that pit.
