Turbo Tax or HR block Premium

I was considering buy one of these Turbo Tax or HR Block Premium. Was leaning more to the HR Block mainly do to the price. For those that have used either one would you recommend them to others or is a waste of time?

  We've used Turbo Tax for the last few years. We've gotten every penny out of it. You can do it in 30min or less as well. What's nice about it is that you can save your file for this year, and when it comes time to do it next year, you open the last years file and all of your information is entered for you. Last year was the first time that you could actually get your w2 numbers entered for you via the internet if your employer participated in the program. Making very little work for you besides a few mouse clicks. I'll use it as long as it is available. I've never used or known anyone who used the HR Block software.

  We use the Tax Cut by HR block and it runs the same as the turbo tax. Real easy andit lets you file up to 7 returns so I do everyone in my family. It is worth the 40 bucks...I get the deluxe so I can do the state taxes too.

  We us tubo tax has worked great for years.

  Have used Turbo Tax for the last 3-4 years. At $14.95, it is the deal of the century.

  while h&r block may look the same it is not, H&R block has this take guarantee for audits, well guess what, they do not care how much of your money you loose so they do not have to honor their guarantee
  
  H&R block once told a good friend of mine he owed 4,500 bucks, he had nothing else to loose so copied everything onto turbo tax, got back almost 4,000 bucks, i couldn't figure out why he owed a dime in the first place
  
  
  i never had it so easy, and got back so much since dropping H&R block, and going to turbo tax, H&R block are only in it for themselves

  Look into taxact.com. Very reasonable. Never had a problem.

  TURBO TAX, used by an expierenced tax guy.
  
  2004 tax return done by H&R block- Roughly $750.00
  
  2005 tax return done by Turbo tax and tax guy- Roughly $4500.
  
  Both years were very similar to eachother, about the same income ton of money spent on school, etc.
  
  I am waiting on my 1040 from school, but I am really excited about this years' tax return (Most money yet spent on school). My tax guy charges $100 to do my taxes. I'm sure I could buy turbo tax myself but he has a way to get my refund electronically in a few days.

  thats not a trade secret, its part of turbotaxs' service. you e-file and request a direct deposit. takes like 10 days or less
  
  
  i use turbo tax. have for years and will continue to. very easy to use. guides you through everything. you can stop anywhere along the way and pick it back up later. great stuff.
