This Mexican chased the robber and shot him

Mid-South man robbed and pistol-whipped while doing yard work:

The search is on for a gunman who robbed and pistol-whipped a Mid-South man doing yardwork.

It happened near Old Brownsville Road not far from North Methodist Hospital.

Investigators say two men were doing yard work around 11:00 Saturday morning when a man walked up with a gun and demanded money.

Dennis Hernandez turned over his wallet, the thief hit Hernandez on the head with his gun and took off.

Hernandez grabbed his own gun from his house and took off after the thief.

Deputies say Hernandez caught up with the thief on Old Brownsville Road and opened fire.

    get this: here in town, someone was burglarizing this bosnian guy's house, he came home, grabbed a knife and chased the burglar out of his house, and was in the process of stabbing him, when these two other guys doing some work on the neighbor's house saw that, thought they would rescue the 'victim' and ran up behind the bosnian and whacked him on the head with a shovel. they both ended up in the hospital in pretty bad shape.

    I live just off Old Brownsville Road in Bartlett, TN very near where this shooting took place. The news said the robbery victim did not have a carry permit but haven't decided whether to charge him yet. He was shooting in an unsafe manor in that there were people (including kids) around. The police did find blood, so they think he may have hit the bad guy.
