It is not cold (weatherbug shows 77), but it has been raining off and on most of the day.

Let's see, if I leave now I can be there in 43 hours, depending on traffic. What time was dinner?

Here's the pot of venison chili my son and I made the other night. BR...the problem with chili, at least for me, is I can't give you EXACT ingredient amounts. I just add what sounds good and add till it tastes good. [:p]

That is the problem. I do not have a written recipe for it.[:(]

I have allways just kinda winged it as I go along.

I do use Carrol Shelby's seasoning in it but I really do not follow the directions on the package.

    I use (all are aprox):
    5lbs of meat
2 packages of Carrol Shelby's seasoning
    1 large bell pepper chopped
    1 large onion chopped
    1 large anihiem pepper chopped
1 large yellow hot pepper chopped
2 or 3 Jalepino peppers chopped
1 large can of diced tomatoes undrained
2 8oz cans tomato sauce (add 1 can of water for each tomato sauce)
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp pepper
If wanted add 2 cans of dark red kidney beans drained

    For extra heat:
Cyan pepper and dried hot red peppers diced

Let simmer for a minimum of 3 hours (I normally let it simmer in the crock pot all day if I start it in time)

I have experimented with adding other things as well so you can pretty much add what you like.

That is why you simmer it as long as I do![;)]

We had company so there's a lot left over. The wife made a super crab
bisque, shrimp, Quiche Lorraine, lots of cheeses, apple pie and a variety of cheese cakes + plenty of beer and wines.
It'll be high on the hog this week.
