  Don't know if any of you all have ever walked into a brood of sows at feeding time with a bucket of feed, but sometimes it could be pretty hairy. They push, shove, and anything else to get to the feed. The only one I ever worried about was that 750lb Hampshire Boar. Now he was mean, and had at least 3" tusk to go with it. He threw my uncle once with those tusk. Tore through 3 Muscles in his leg and laid him up for over a month. I tried like hell to bust those tusks out with a hammer, but could never get a good shot on them. Anyway he went to market soon after.

  Gramps used keep his sows in a wood lot when they were piggin.I used to grab a baby pig by it`s back legs and run like he ll for the wagon the whole time with this little pig squealing.It would bring every sow in the woods on a dead run. It was a goodway to bring all the sows in a hurry to get a head count.
  I can`t run as fast today.Wouldn`t want to risk it.
