What's the straight "poop" on Kel-Tec's newest 9mm? Is it a reliable sub-compact or is it still too early to tell?

Had a P-32 that I hoped to make a last-ditch backup piece.
Trigger was long, hard, and crunchy (and only slightly improved by 5 hours of fluff-n'-buff), it wouldn't cycle anything other than premium ammo, and the recoil/weight ratio was so bad that anything other than a white-knuckle grip with a perfectly straight arm resulted in a guaranteed FTE from limp-wristing.
Pretty much made it useless in it's intended role.0 -
Had a p-32 (it never fired) and now have two 380's (both of them are sitting in a drawer).....I would rather carry a jennings 22lr.....
Neither of my kel tecs will eject worth a crap. I have tried every ammo I can buy.
JUST MY OPINION0 -
I have only seen one PF9 in the local shop, don't know anyone who has shot one yet. My P-11 has many thousands of rounds through it with zero malfunctions, it really likes Silvertips for accuracy. The trigger isn't that bad at all. It is long, but pretty smooth and you can easily stage it. A quick pull will set the hammer about 3/4s back, then you can just hold it there and finish the pull for accuracy. It will do 2" groups at 7 yards very easily. On the other hand, I had one of the 380s and couldn't get it to feed anything other than FMJ, and the recoil was nasty much worse than an airweight J frame, I sold it. 0 -
I had a P32 and have a P3AT. They both cycle everything I throw at them with no problems. I plan to buy a new PF9 when I can get the money. 0 -
I have a P3AT and a P11 plus a 357SIG conversion kit for the P11.With some tinkering the 380 has become reliable and my choice for carry.
The Santa Barbara 380s are stiffer, giving the P3AT serious recoil.
It does bite the trigger finger though. I just installed a trigger shoe on it that feels good in dry firing. If it stays on it'll be an improvement. Some welded up sights keep bullets on target at 15ft.
The P11 also needed tinkering to be reliable.It will now fire hard primers of +P+ NATO. It has night sights and shoots straight until the lousy trigger pull exhausts you after a mag or two.
With the 357SIG kit installed you wont want to fire more than a few shots unless you're into pain.
These are not fun guns to shoot but minimally sized defensive handguns in the smallest, lightest package.
The P3At weighs less than my Baby Browning 25 auto.0
