My bet is the North Koreans. It is time for them to get us worried about the Commies again. I would say China, but it looks as if they will turn Captialist soon.

The North Koreans come to mind, but then again they are just the whipping boy of China, and China has too much to gain from America. The next conflict may just be Argentina.

...especially those among us who are unwilling or unable to come to grips with the truth. Skepticism, na?vet?--whatever the cause...some who dodge reality cause grave danger for the rest of us.

Probably the taxpayers, as usual. We really need higher taxes.
Our Navy is falling apart and we need much more expensive
planes to defeat the Commie crap that is out there.[:o)]

After all, without someone to be afraid of, how would our politicians divert our attention from the real issues?
    EMM,
I find your question and your premise that our politicians need an enemy both insulting to our democracy and to our nation.

You're equating our elected leaders to ruthless dictators and commies who must blame all of their nation's ills on an enemy...usually the US, in order to stay in power.

Our enemies are very real and we must deal with them.

Me think you've been watching too much Wag the Dog!

The same ones we should be storming right now with baseball bats and pitchforks.
All three branches of the US Government, as well as many state legislatures and local city halls.
I think HandLoad is on the right page!

"Muslims" covers a multitude of countries. Lest we forget, we are not at war with a country, but extremists who occupy parts of Iraq and Afganastan (sp?). They also occupy lots of European countries and are even right here in the good ol USA. And it is a religion to them, not patriotism, not partisan politics, but what their God told them to do!

As for North Korea, they don't even have electricity in the majority of the country.
