Lost a fellow hunter yesterday
A member of my hunting club died when he lost his balance and fell backward, hanging upside down on a climbing stand. He was NOT using a safety harness. His feet were hung in the footrest and the seat part was behind his knees. He, like most of us, was a little overweight and could not raise his body back up.
We are all still in shock.
Please keep us and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

RIP. Thats a terrible way to go. 0 -
So he was hanging there, nobody could hear him yelling, and all the blood rushed to his head. Damn what a terrible way to die.
It reminds me a lot of when I got my leg trapped under that pine tree this summer, thank God I had help at hand, or I would have died in the woods that day.
I sure feel sorry for that hunter and his family and friends.0 -
Tuff way to go. I'll keep you in our prayers. 0 -
