Just bid on my first gun here on GB

After all these years of being a member of this forum, I finally broke down and bid on a gun being sold here. Every since I sold my Ruger Bisley 45 LC, I have wanted another SSA 45LC. I have been looking for one in stainless, with the imitation pearl hand grips. The one I bid on is a fine example of one. I didn't meet the reserve price and I will not be around this weekend to bid on it again.

    I have been a registered member on the auction side since 2004 and only recently joined the forums. I used the auction side almost exclusively to watch bid levels and to see what prices things were actually selling for. Earlier this year I got my Carry/Conceal License and needed a weapon for this purpose, so I bid on and won my first auction and was pleased at how smoothly the transaction progressed.

    You know what patten said about pearl grips right? Said only a pimp or a Missippippi gambler would carry pearl grips. I am guessing the river boat is pulling out and that is why you won't be here?



    I do like stainless though.

    My bag He Dog, I meant to say Ivory, not Pearl. I wouldn't own a gun with pearl grips, even it they were fake ones.[:D]

    Actually Trinity I would go pearl, but only real MOP. Ivory is good too, wish I could afford real ivory. Heck you know you need it trinity, go bid again.
