Does anyone else...
...wear Levi's 501 button up jeans??
As I was dressing this morning, I realized that I have worn this style blue jeans as long as I remember.
Anyone have any explanation for a grown-up man wearing BUTTON up
jeans ??
I have zippers in all my other pants, but not in Levi's

I used to wear them but they hurt my fingers too much. 0 -
Levi 501 are all I own.
I do not have an explanation for you about why grown men wear them though.0 -
Yep. When I can find them. 0 -

Why are you fishing around in Levi's pants? Doesn't he mind?0 -
Yup... only long jeans I wear. 0 -
I wear no pants, pants slow me down. 0 -
501's mmmm NO
551's is where it is at, IMO much more relaxed and i can run in them where as the 501's are hard enough to get into. try and run in them and I'm done.0 -
nope cannot fit my genitals in them 0 -
Me and buttons don't get along.[;)] 0 -
I quit buying Levi's when I found out that Levi Strauss Corp. was one of the biggest contributors to the anti-gun lobby. 0 -
Wranglers here I think.
But im usually wearing Old Navy khaki or shorts. haha
Dad wears bibs - he has to for his job, so he just wears them anyways0 -
Back in my younger more liberal days I used to wear them all the time, but I now wear Wrangler's...[;)]

I wore 501 shrink to fits as long as I could remember, Until Levi in there ultimate cost saving wisdom changed the belt loop pattern and I switched to Wranglers not because of anything but the belt loop pattern.

used too...haven't seen em in years!!!! 0 -
I wear whatever my wife buys me. I would perfer short of scrubs. 0 -
I wore 501's until the first time I tried to straddle a saddle to ride a horse while wearing them. Crowded certain things so much- and painfully so- that I went to Wranglers with no problems. 0 -
Find and get a pair of Diamond Cut jeans. You will never look back. 0 -
I wore 501's for the longest time, because I'm only gonna wear levi's and that's the farthest I thought I needed to look. but after you wash them, you can't wear them for very long before the material gets all stretched out in all the wrong places. (I think it's a little different material for 501's, unless it's just the way they're cut) and I figured out they really don't fit my ass that good either.
I went with the regular fly 505's, the problems with the 501's were solved. I also like the 527's (low rise, sort of flared leg) and 507's (retro-looking long ass, boot cut) which, unfortunately, aren't sold in the US, only in England. it seems they do all use slightly different denim.
I hate the "relaxed fit" 550's.
when did I figure all this out? when I was forced to go out and buy all new jeans, because I was doing my laundry at a laundromat and got hit by JEANS THEIVES. the f*($*($ s$* o' b#$# stole all 10 pairs or so of my jeans and left all my other clothes in the dryer! think about it, they probably got about $200 or so when they went to sell them on ebay. I got hit again not too long ago for another 8 pairs.0 -
btw, Levi Strauss & Co. is anti-gun. 0 -
I wore them in High School (almost 20 years ago) But have switched to jeans from Academy.. Look just as good, last longer, cost 14.99 everyday.. With a wife, 2yo, and a gun habit every dollar I can save on clothes is a good thing. [:D] 0 -
I'll put up a Levi's reference chart on a different thread, 'cuz it's too big. 0 -
When I was much younger I wore 501's for a brief period, but just didn't care for the button fly.
I buy pre-washed 505's exclusively.0 -
