Does anyone use a gun rack in their pickup truck?

That is a good way to get your rig broken into these days. 0 -
They make them now that bolt to the roof of the vehicle or hang behind the seat. Out of site/out of mind 0 -
Some guys have them here to hang their livestock whip and cattle prod, and a lariot. Cowboys they be. 0 -
I do.
Does that logic lead to the conclusion that they would steal my horses if they saw my horse trailer??

No,but down here the Mexicans might steal your truck. Especially if its a Chebbie.

It's a Frud, but I will bare that in mind when I visit down there.
Where is "down there"??

No, but you dont just put a horse in you car or carry it off. It is not just guns but anything of value that is EASY to steal and EASY to sell/pawn/use. Things like guns, wallet, MP3 players, cameras, cell phones, laptops, ect. All a BG has to do is knock out a window and be gone with your gun(s) in a matter of seconds.

I haven't used a gunrack in my pickup here in California since I found it necessary to start removing the keys from my vehicles at night and lock my house when I was gone. [:(][:(] It's a sad deal, but I can't remember the last time I saw a pickup with a gunrack in the window. [:0][:0]

So then....you would have me believe that in YOUR part of the country, mp3 players are easier to make off with than horses??
How about SMALL horses??

Well last week I couldn't find any MP3 players at the pawn shop [V]. I did see 3 Ponies with the SN scratched off though. I think now I know why, it didn't make sense at the time. [:D][:D][:D]0 -
I bought a Ford Ranger 4x4 supercab recently and I ordered a gun rack off the internet. The rack I got didn't require drilling holes and it installed in ten minutes.
I went to my friend's gun store to buy an old Winchester 30.30 lever action to put on the rack. My friend told me "I might be a redeck if I had a gun rack in my truck". He gave me an old Red Ryder BB gun to test the waters with. After a week with no problems I bought that old Winchester and put it in there with the Red Ryder.
The back windows are pretty tinted, so the guns are not that obvious. I really like the rack and guns, and "I just might be redneck at heart".0 -

Gun Racks were pretty much a fad. Never see them in NM any more. 0 -
