best grip for Redhawk?
Which aftermarket grip is best for absorbing some of the recoil on a 44mag Redhawk? I know Hogue and Pachmayr both make a few different kinds.

I've got Pachmayr on my Super Blackhawk and I reload hot, 240gr bullet @ 1490 fps. Can shoot up a whole box (100) and still look for more. 0 -
1) Throw the ruger grips away.
2) Buy some good Smith N frame grips.
3) Throw the ruger away.
4) By a Smith N Frame.
5) Install grips on Smith N frame.
Now you're cookin'!!

which Pachmayr, they have about 4-5 different ones???0 -

Hogue makes 'em in rubber or wood. The wood hogues are real nice looking.

Make sure they fill the space behind the trigger guard. The 1st set I purchased to replace the stock grips didn't and the trigger guard would split the knuckle on my middle finger wide open. 0 -
Don't much like rubber grips any more myself, I like these and have them on my GP-100.
