I was on TV tonight!

Washburn and Barron Counties, and the city of Rice Lake police departments had SWAT training today that I got to participate in. I was searched, handcuffed, and detained, and it all made it onto the regional news station tonight!

I don't have a link yet, but I'll post one as soon as one becomes avaliable.


BTW, Shawnna called right after the story aired. She saw it. We had a good laugh about it.

    I participated in a "shoot - don't shoot" exercise for a local PD many years ago. Of course, I was a bad guy in all the scenarios. Never got popped by one of them, but it was easy to pop the officers.
    I will never forget, on scene was a suicide call. One officer finally said "I don't give a damn, go ahead and do it"! I almost fell out of the chair laughing. Did make a small story in the local fish wrapper, but no TV.[:D]

    They're not very good. Out of the three teams there, Washburn County was the best, and Rice Lake was the worst.
