Only one 4 hole feeder out now, and still going through 1? quart a day.
They were a little late getting here this year, but came with a ferocious appetite. When they get in full swing, 2? gallons from 2
feeders per day isn't uncommon.

Lord I love the Ozarks! We have more species, but so far, not near those numbers this year. Usually have a dozen plus. 0 -
As far as I know we only get the ruby throated variety. Based on the
formula that they "eat their body weight per day", we must have thousands.lol0 -

Correct that is the only species found east of the Great Plains.
We typically get black-chinned, broad-tailed. rufous, and occasionally others here in town. SW NM and SE Ariz, you can see 6 species in a day.0
