    Lord I love the Ozarks! We have more species, but so far, not near those numbers this year. Usually have a dozen plus.

    As far as I know we only get the ruby throated variety. Based on the
    formula that they "eat their body weight per day", we must have thousands.lol

    Correct that is the only species found east of the Great Plains.

    We typically get black-chinned, broad-tailed. rufous, and occasionally others here in town. SW NM and SE Ariz, you can see 6 species in a day.
