    "wired it into my system"

Not to be the party pooper, but for around 5 bucks you can get a thing you plug into your stereo and into the player and it will do it [:D]

My stereo is a higher-end Clarion deck with auxiliary input. All I had to do was use an RCA to stereo jack adapter cable, plug the MP3 player into it, and turn the stereo to the right setting. Using this set-up, I could theoretically plug any audio device into my deck. Also, with the right control boxes, my deck can be a TV tuner.

Got a cheap 2 gig MP3 player. I have 200 songs on it and it's only half full. I wired it into my truck's stereo and now all CDs are obsolete. Isn't technology grand?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...........what happens (Dan) if the MP3 player breaks or is stolen? Do you then have no more music? Do you back it up in your PC?

I wish I had a decent functional 8-track player. I still have my dad's tapes around here somewhere.
