Dang dirty aquarium!

Well I tried and tried to get the water clear in my new oceanic aquarium. If you remember I had 3 neon tetras, 2 blueberry tetras and 2 cats. Well I got a placostamus and 2 shrimp to try and get some of the algea off too and that didn't help at all.

I think the issue is that the build in wet/dry filter system of the tank is crap. So I got a small (105 series) Fluval and plumbed that into the tank. Within 1 day the tank is now pretty clear (clearest its ever been). I am cleaning the Fluval weekly so hopefully this also gets better.

I have had tanks all my life and have NEVER had these issue trying to get the damn water clear!

Anyway, so far all fish are healthy and I lost just 1 neon.

    blueberry tetra? that is a new one on me after 40 years of fishkeeping. Gonna have to look that one up.
