    Sig232 live in Oregon.

I live in Wisconsin. And if there should ever be an uprising of Wisconsinites, Texas would be the only state that could stop it.

I don't live in Oregon. Pacific northwest is beautiful, but far too gray too much for someone like me with seasonal affective disorder. I would be suicidal in a month.

I know what you mean HeDog. I struggle with the seasonal disorder myself. And winters here are mighty cloudy.

Oregon, just like Washington, has a dry side and a wet side. The Cascade mountains divide the state in half with the western half getting all the Pacific weather - wet as hell - and the eastern half being high desert - dry but very cold in the winter.

Sounds better Lowrider, I kinda know that but have not been there. I am more into desert, warm in winter. I may have to move even further south. We are getting much warmeer summers and coolder winters with more snow the last couple. Tucson is nice this time of year, maybe Mercury will support me.

I have to agree that it is far to wet here. I guess last year wasn't to bad though; rain October - June. I do miss the Idaho climate I grew up with.

I grew up in Indiana, so I know about cold winters and gray skys. Oregon is nice compromise, lots of seasonal changes but the temps never get much below 40 degrees in the Portland area. Summers are bright and very hot. I you want beach you got the cost about 1 1/2 hours away if you want hot and sunny you got the desert about the same distance the other way. Snow, go up to MT hood or other MT range areas. Hunting, fishing, hiking, boating, lots of fun things to do if you are into that kind of thing.

I did 12 years in Florida in the 1970's another 10 years in CA in the Santa Clarita Valley so I have had my sunbelt time. Oregon is a good compromise and not that populated. CA is a mass of people anymore and so is most of the coastal areas of Florida.

As you get a bit older you don't want to swim with the masses on the freeways anymore and you long to have a little more solitude in your life. You can have that in Oregon, WA, Idaho, MT, Utah for a few more years.

And of course orgeon encourages every one to come leave money and then leave. In time you are likely to be californicated like the rest of us.
