Stag grips, what's the point?

I listed these without researching it very well first. It turns out similar grips are bringing way over $200 at Fleabay.
Other than aesthetics, what's the point to stag grips? I owned a New Model Super Blackhawk in the past. I had to get a Pachmayr grip to keep the back of the trigger guard from bruising my saluting finger.

Loks like a pair I sold last year on fleabay that came on a factory rebuilt 1st Gen. They are more hand filling than factory hard rubber grips.
I swapped them out for plain ivories.
If I had my druthers that Colt would have a longhorn ivory on the right grip.0 -
The handles on my guns are wood, but the handles on my favorite knives are either stag antler or Mammoth tusk. I just like the feel and in the case of the Mammoth, knowing it is so hold that it may have been chased around by cavemen. 0 -
Aesthetics, they are not tough and durable, chip and crack rather easily, then the looks are gone. I have an otherwise fine custom knife that has developed a crack in the stag handle, going to have the panels replaced with something else. 0 -

Henry, the bid is mine. Since I don't know if they'll fit anything I have anyway, if you'd like to withdraw them and try to do better on Ebay, I have no objections and there will be no hard feelings.

Most I have looked at lately start at $250. If they fit my New Model Vaquero, I would be all over them. Since I don't know and Henry does not... 0 -
