Food, no better gift at christmas. How 'bout it?

You are the most generous people there are. At this time of year, what would put a bigger smile on a child's face that doesn't know where their next meal is coming from, than a couple boxes of groceries? This is in America folks! Sad but true. Please think about sending some help. Little kids are the greatest people on earth. They should have a full belly!

    Yeah, HM, I have a family too. But just remember these kids, any kids, deserve only positive and happy, not negative and sad, they're kids goshdarnit and I love 'em all. I hate to think of their tummies growling. Man I wish I would win powerball! We seem to be pretty well-off folks, can afford everything we need and a gun or two every now and then. Most of us anyway. Just wanting to remind everybody, not wishing to insult anyone, just fill up some little belly's.

    I agree JP, that's why it drives me nuts to see parents neglect their kids.[:(!]
    It's a serious problem, however some not by choice.

    Help feed other ppls kids?...Parents who might be drunks, addicts, on welfare or heaven forbid, illegal??????

    Or ppl who have perhaps just fallen on hard times??? Feed their kids????? Why cant they just get off their lazy butts and get a second job to feed them?


    The above seems to be the going answer for it now ..especially if they just dont want to give or help....Classic and I have always done what we could and will continue to do so and we dont care one way or the other how the kids got to be in need...they are just that, IN NEED....

    My position is that I am not going to get all teary-eyed about ANY of these "Ohhhh, help the Chilllldrennnnn" or these big-eyed posters of some cute child and then pull out my wallet. Not happening.

    These organizations......all of them have things in common that I will not help support:
    ---they can't guarantee to my satisfaction that that any money, food or non-food items that I contribute will ONLY go to American citizens who are under the age of 18.
    ---these organizations have "Executive Directors", and other "executives" that get paid.....A LOT.

    Screw it!!! I will not support anyone who is not an American citizen and I won't help pay some drone a salary that is far higher than the mean average salary of the average American family's breadwinner.

    If you want to do something really useful, do some legwork, meet and do something significant to help a truly disadvantaged American child stay nutritionally healthy, safe and become educated. And I don't mean simply handing over money. If you can't do this, save the money for your own family.

    My company found a family to "Help" for Christmas. Everybody donated food,money, furniture etc. When we delivered all the stuff to their house the first thing we noticed was a brand new car in the driveway. Then we get in the house the kids were playing a PS3 on a very large TV. The worst part was that NOBODY in the house offered to help us unload all the stuff. Needless to say but we don't "Give" anymore...

    Yeah Sav, they are the only ones I really trust. Larry Jones is a stand up guy. Rare nowadays. He works really hard and I respect him.

    i think as soon as I saw the new car Id been like wrong house lets find someone else sorry folks
