I think I got a good deal!

Unfortunately not on a gun.

From past posts, I paid one quarter butcher costs to my friend for my brothers share of a moose. My brother didn't want it so it was offered to me.

I paid $120 for the butcher fee and got approximately 125 pounds of moose meat. Sweet deal #1.

Then I asked questions on here about Standing Freezers so I could put the meat somewhere. Thanks to members here I decided on the auto-defrost models. I was gonna go with Kenmore but last minute checked Home Depot.

Comparable GE model, 13.7 cu ft, auto-defrost. $399 and on sale for 10% off. I asked my brother and he remembered a coupon he had. 20% off entire purchase. So I got 30% off the freezer.

Paid only $287 for the freezer and got lots of other small things I needed at 20% off.

I think I made out pretty good.[:D]

    HELL YES, I would like to have that, last time my buddy from Finland came over he was trying to bring in a big hunk of moose meat, them damn beagles at the airport smelled it and I bet they ate the meat, I did not get to eat any moose steaks.[}:)][}:)]

    I think he may have gotten the coupon through ebay. Not sure though, he just built his house and was using 20% off coupons for all his appliances and he just happened to have this one left over.

    I'll have to remember this when I upgrade my washer and dryer soon.

    Also just found an online rebate where I can get a $25 gift card from home depot on the freezer. So I will get another $25 back from it. SWEET.

    Yep them coupons are one of those secrets out there, I have saved 1000s using those. Some stores don't honor them though.

    I could only fit an upright in the space I have. Also my parents have chest style and it seems you only use a very small space or everything is buried.
