grease points on F250

My mechanic wants me to bring my F250 in every 6 months to lube all the points on the truck that need grease. I would like to just get a grease gun and do it myself. Is there any manuals where I can find all the points that need to be lubed? U-joints, etc???

    I thought most bearings were sealed now days.

    While yours may not have fittings from the factory, the places to look are on the front suspension/steering (check each joint/moving member for a Zerk fitting) and the drive shaft(s). There should be one at the slip coupling, and may be one on the universal joints.

    Note, and a mistake people often make, on greesable "booted" joints like you find on front suspension/steering joints, only use enough greese to swell the boot, if the greese can come out water can get in (this is one of the biggest reasons for premature failure of this kind of joint).

    Get a factory shop manual. This is an indispensible resource.

    I also lube hood and door hinges every oil change. It only takes a second and it really sucks when a door hinge bushing goes bad.

    I'm no mechanic but it thought it was a sealed front end. Could be wrong.

    A Haynes manual will list the grease points and have drawings.

    2004 it probably is all sealed my 99 is. U joint are not greaseable i am going to guess and even if they were good luck with that. If you can grease anything check the upper and lower ball joints and the tire rod assembly other than that there isnt much to it.

    The hub assembly is sealed on the 4x4. All the suspension/steering joints are available to grease. Mine gets oil and lube every couple of months (4K miles), but i let the dealer do it (getting rid of 4 gallons of oil is getting harder to do nowadays). 200K+ miles in 6 years.
