Stinky cheese
If you like stinky cheese, even just a little, you have got to try Royal Blue Stilton!
I don't normally care much for pungent cheese, with Roquefort salad dressing or perhaps some Limburger cheese spread (NOT the real stuff!) on a cracker being about as extreme as I usually go.
I was given some Royal Blue Stilton the other day and when I opened the package and got a whiff of the odor, I wasn't too sure that I would like it. Imagine my surprise when I put some on a Ritz and found out how very tasty it was.
It is quite rich; a little goes a long way, so if you try it, don't go overboard with your first taste of the stuff.

Like a fine wine, a really great cheese has a distinctive "bouquet" that delights the olfactory sense and then caresses the palate on the way down. A small piece of advice here. Never use a Ritz cracker for a fine cheese. It has its own flavor that can compromise the taste of the cheese itself on your tastebuds. Buy a plain cracker (not a soda cracker) that has at most, a black pepper flavor.
The cheese is always the star. The cracker is merely one part of the supporting cast.0 -
