How to find a lost cell phone?
Daughter lost it. Can't find it. Anything that can be done??????

Where? I have mislaid mine in the house, and just called it and chased down the noise. Once, I got home from a movie theater and realized my phone was gone. It had to have fallen off my pocket in the theater seat. I called the theater the next day, and they had found it.
If it is REALLY lost, I don't know of any way to find it unless it has one of them GPS things in it, and maybe the cellular service can track it.0 -

call the company get it shut off, then you have to fork out for a new one0 -
The cell provider can trace it to pretty close to where it is as long as it is on and getting a signal. Not likely they will help in this manner though (for a LEO they would). Just call it, if no one answers or you can't hear it, cancel and get a new one.
BTW: You can send a "kill" command to a blackberry - erases everything and renders it useless! It's really fun when employees leave and don't turn them in and we get to send the kill command to the phone.0 -
I have mine set (and classics) so that it beeps every 5 minutes when you leave a voice message or text message....is yours set to beep if you miss a call or get a message? 0 -
Lost mine over in the woods just last week. Came home and got my two way radio and headed out. Wife would call when I told her. Didn't take long until I heard, "WHEN THE SAINTS COME MARCHING IN" Found it!! 0 -
I lost mine and realized it the next morning and called it, went to voice mail like it was off. Called several times and finally heard[:(!][V][xx(][:(] a little kid on it and had it shut off. In about 12 hours they had down loaded tunes at 180.00 dollars so the cell company turned it in as stolden and gave me back my money and my 50.00 for a new phone. 0 -
It's lost and probably dead by now. Yes, tried calling it. It's not in the house. The cell company won't track the phone for you-either won't or can't. 0 -
If you build a moxxon antenna (very easy) It haves directional cababilitys and might be able to track it if in a remote area with not so many other phones around.Untill the battery is out at least.
Very cool antenna to bring w you in the forest anyway, if you get bad connection coz the moxxon is very directional and makes it easy to beam in on the closest GSM antenna around.0 -
SHUT IT OFF FAST!
My grand daughter had her purse stolen at school and thought she had just lost it. My daughter had it shut off the very next morning. The little thieves had made 129 text messages in less than four hours. Cingular dropped the text charges when notified of it being a theft. We got the phone back after following the # history on the bill.[:D]
The kids had installed a T-Mobile SIM card in it after it was shut off.0
