Update on the 357 sig
I don't know if you guys/gals remember, but I mention I was going to buy a Glock in 357sig a month or two ago.
Well I got it, actually a few day after I mentioned it.
I got 3 14 round clips, half box of ammo, and it came with the factory night sites. Sorry no pix camera is at the bottom of a lake.
Why in the he11 didn't someone tell me this thing was going to take my hands off. I mean it's a wildcat to hold down. I shot a couple 2 round burst and my hand was actually stinging.
1 shot at a time isn't that bad, but a couple or more in a row is a bad idea. When I shot it. We was shoting it along side a 9mm Glock and it was a big differance in recoil.
It is however very accurate and I didn't have any problems with it.
Ammo is very expensive I had to pay 18 dollars a box to start. But I did find a source that will come out to 10.50-11.00 if I buy 1000rds or more.
I do plan to carry this gun when I ride atv's so I wanted a good long distance round that wouldn't be effected by leaves and such so bad.
I'm still thinking about getting a 10mm, because I may want more.

IMO...the recoil is not as bad as a .40 S&W...and it shouldn't be, b/c of the lighter bullet. Perhaps it's just the Glock. I have one in a SIG Pro and I find the recoil VERY manageable. The wife uses a XD in .40 S&W and has no problem with the recoil.?.? 0 -
I love the 10mm. If you want or need more go with the 10mm. My 2 cents [8D] 0 -

Im a fan of the .357sig, you pretty much get the ballistics of the 10MM with it. I own one personal P-229 .357 sig and a SIG PRO .357 sig and a Glock 31 .357sig. The only thing the Glock has over the P-229 or the PRO is the 15+1 Mag count instead of the 12+1 of the SIG. Its a great caliber the DHS,Secret Service and Border Patrol are all issued the P-229 DAK .357 sig. And many LEA's around the Nation are also choosing the hot round as their sidearm. 0 -
You must of been shooting really hot loads, the Glock 40 hasa no differnece in recoil comparted to the 357 Sig 0 -
CGR, check out georgia-arms.com. They come to most of the gun shows around here. They have .357 sig. reloads as low as $11.50/50. They're located somewhere east of Atlanta. 0 -
Actually Georgia Arms is a little west of Atlanta, near a little town called Villa Rica.
I've used their ammo quite a bit. It's not expensive, but the loads are somewhat light IMO. I know it's a liability issue, but there it is.0 -

Get a SIG 229. Much more controllable and dead on accurate.0
