Who smokes cigars?
I do on occasion. A couple friends of mine & I do probably once a month or so. I love the taste[^], can't stand to inhale though. [xx(]

I used to, but at 2$ each I couldn't afford it for long.
I'd have eggs, bacon and a can of stewed tomatoes for breakfast, then go out on the back porch in the fresh air with a can of pepsi and a cigar. well constructed cigar, lasted about 45 minutes. yum.
I forgot what brand it was. Don H...? I bought them by the box. similar to a Henry Clay. I didn't like all the other main brands like montecristo, macanudo, etc.0 -

Smoke three to five a day since I was sixteen, born during the FDR days. Don't inhale, never did even when on cigarettes for two years while in the Army. Couldn't afford cigars on GI pay 0 -
I love fine cigars.
I was a steady cigar smoker in college. Switched to Cigs, then back to cigars.

-Years ago I smoked them, but not now. I was quite an afficianado of good cigars at that time......maybe 35 years ago. In addition to the very fine larger cigars (names escape me now), I would carry half a dozen thin Brazilian cigars.
A few years ago, I stopped in at a cigar store downtown and picked up a very nice one, came home, poured a JD on the rocks and smoked it. I got half-way through it and became so sick I could hardly stand up. That was pretty much the end of my cigar smoking.
A pretty decent American cigar, though, is Marsh Wheeling Deluxe0 -

I just bought ten Montecristos on sale for $49 with a large ashtray included. I like an occasional cigar with a single malt scotch.
My preferences is usually mild cigars like Macanudos, 5 Vegas Gold, Rocky Patel Conn, and others.0 -
Let's see.........3 A. Fuente Gran Reserva, 1 Thompson, 1 Makers Mark sealed in glass with the red wax seal, 1 Opus X Fuente Fuente. I remember when a buddy and I used to split a box of Fuente's for about 20 bucks apiece. Those were the days.

I found a little shop run by a Cuban who sells nothing but what he rolls himself. It is in Mesa Az, on Southern and Extension. Once I tried his "long fill" hand-rolled cigars, nothing machine-made will ever do again.

There used to be a great shop in downtown Asheville, NC that rolls while you wait. Cigars!!!! There are a few other shops in downtown Asheville that roll other things while you wait also. 0 -
Go to jrcigar.com You can order most brands there and they also have what they call 5 Brand packs which can be a good way to try something before buying a whole box. That is 5 for the price of 3. JR's prices are usually about half what you pay in cigar stores. It is the largest cigar dealer in the US. If you are close to one (3 in NC and NY, NJ, several other places) of his stores go in. The cigar store is one giant humidor. It's great. Most of the orders online and mail are shipped out of Burlington, NC. Oh, my favs are El Rey Del Mundos, Por Laranaga, Fuente and Onyx. I worked there a little after retiring and loved it, just had too many commitments. I also have ordered cigars from Old Virginia Tobacco when JR was out of Fuentes, which is usually the only brand they will run out of sometimes, especially Short Stories. I believe it was W.C. Fields who said "A woman is a woman, but a cigar, that's a smoke." Nuff said. 0 -

Not as much anymore, but Macanudo Portifino. About $7.50 a cigar when I was smoking them more which was about 2 to 4 a month. 0 -
My buddy went to the Dominican Republic, and he met a guy names Don Lucas, at first i thought his name was don, but my buddy told me his name wasnt Don, He was The Don, Lucas. Don lucas cigars burned very well, and they were somewhat sweet with a nice light tobacco wrapping. I got the whole box free. I like them. 0 -

Hugo Cassar. that's it. those and Henry Clay's aren't "light", they're about normal. so if he smoked 8-10 of those a day, he ain't cutting corners on the smoke. I only smoked 2 a day (and no cigarettes), after I quit those and started smoking cigarettes again marlboros were like little candy sticks.
I can definitely tell the difference when they're properly humidified. they got little "flavor crystals" all over the wrapper, and they taste kind of buttery. of course also a nutty and spicy aftertaste like a good cigar should. if they dry out, all that goes away. but yeah, Hugo Cassar is my fave, most cigars I'm not too thrilled with.0 -
Have never smoked in my life(cigar or cigarette). Just have no desire to I guess.

Real Cuban Montecristos only way to go! But, lacking those, the JR Alternativos to the Cuban Montecristos are great! Believe it or not, this $22 bundle cigar is good. They have a Cuban alternative and a Dominican alternative... give the Cuban fake a try! 0
