    because the pic. was taken with a 35mm camera and I dont have a scaners so I took a pic. of the pic. [}:)][}:)][:D][:D]

    Wife and I honey-mooned in Eureka Springs nearly 20 years ago. Yeah, I was, and am, cheap! But nevertheless, we had a very good time. Haven't been back since, but would love to go and actually see the place this time around. [;)]

    There was a hotel there that was featured in Ripley's Believe It or Not where each floor was a ground floor. It was built against a steep hill. Bill Doolin, the outlaw, was ambushed there, shot with buckshot. In "Doc" Shore's book, Memoirs of a Lawman, is a picture of Bill's corpse riddled with holes, and a picture of the hotel with an X marked on the room where Bill was ambushed.

    One summer, a few years ago, I vacationed there and stayed at that hotel. Showed the desk clerk the picture and asked to stay in that room. He looked at me strangely and gave me the room. Don't know what I expected to see, but it was an uneventful night.

    My oldest son lives there and works at the Grand Central Hotel. He has hooked us up with a room the second weekend in October. Really anxious to see the area, as this will be our first visit to the town, and the first time we will have seen our son in 2 years.

    leaky springs?? My Father-in-law lives on Holiday Island. We have been through and shopped there. He says it full of old hippy liberals now.
