The Dream act screwing us
This is what our Elected Officals are trying to pass off as the Dream Act to many benefits for the illegals. Why should we pay for the whole family being able to come here. But this age cap of 30 is effectively meaningless as it will still grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.
According to the Migration Policy Institute, a nonpartisan immigration research organization, the DREAM Act could provide immediate conditional legal status to 360,000 high school graduates under the age of 24 and help 715,000 currently in school.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg because the DREAM Act will also grant amnesty to the parents as well.
According to Kris Kobach of the Heritage Foundation, "The illegal alien who applies for this amnesty is immediately rewarded with 'conditional' lawful permanent resident (green card) status, which can be converted to a non-conditional green card in short order. The alien can then use his newly acquired status to seek green cards for the parents who brought him in illegally in the first place. In this way, it is also a back-door amnesty for the millions of illegal aliens who brought their children with them to the United States."
In other words, an illegal alien -- who can pass for under 30-years of age simply needs to enroll in the local community college and can effectively extend that amnesty to two other people.
Kobach again: "[A]ll the alien needs is a high school diploma or a GED earned in the United States. If he can persuade an institution of higher education in the United States -- any community college, technical school, or college -- to admit him, that will suffice. Any illegal alien who meets these conditions (or who can produce fraudulent papers indicating that he meets the conditions) gets immediate legal status."
The only question at this point is; how many illegal aliens in this county WON'T qualify under these "new and improved" guidelines?
Thank you

This in itself causes a problem. My wife is a teacher and we live in a community with many migratory legals that technically do not meet the attendance or other requirements to graduate yet are allowed to do so. In our state kids are required to attend 180 days of class. They can miss no more than 20 days. Often our legal migrants miss nearly that and they are only here 1/2 of the schoolyear. They never even bother to bring transfer papaers when they come back so the school has no idea what their status is but HAVE to accept them into class. I would imagine the situation with illegals is similar or worse.0
