CMP Greek ammo for M-1 rifle

Anyone have a report on the Greek ammo for the M-1 rifle the CMP is selling. How does it compare with the L.C. USGI ammo the CMP is also selling??

hmmm--if it's made Olympic...IIRC, they lost their SAAMI certification a couple years ago...I'd avoid it.

Actually, I avoid ALL Greek surplus ammo since that happened...

I had some Greek surplus "HXP 72" headstamp from a few years ago..the Garandsa and 03A3's lover it, non-corrosive too.

If it's like that stuff, go for it

I shot some of this ammo in 2005 but dont know when it was produced. It shot very well at a Garand only shoot and all were impressed.It was in a white and gold box, kind of fancy for cmp ammo. i have also shot LOTs of their 8mm and it was good stuff.

While I like Lake City ammo the Greek stuff from CMP is getting rave reviews from JCG Match shooters and many have indicated a preference for the Greek stuff OVER the Lake City. I'd say buy a can or two shooti it and then make up your own mind. You probably won't be disappointed if you keep your shooting to 200 yards. Beach
