    I see no reason for the Mace he wasn't a danger or threat . I think it could have been handled better, No I don't like drunk drivers but the officer sucked.[:(!][V][xx(][xx(]

    If it was real, I see no problem. The violator was intoxicated and repeatedly refused to comply with the officer's commands.

    You know we see all kinds of people pi$$ing and moaning about being maced or tazzed but 30 years ago a cop would not have though twice about just beating the crap out of you and little or nothing would have come of it. Mace or tazzing seem like a pretty minor inconvenience compared to that. The simple fact is that that officer right, wrong or in between has all or most of the power in these situations. Trying to resist even if you are right is only going to make the situation worse and is never going to result in satisfaction by either party. Grit your teeth and bear it then file a complaint later. It still may not end to your satisfaction but it generally won't make current situation worse.
