Just curious as to how many folk's here have storm shelter's. I've had one for several year's now. Unfortunately, I've been up close and personal with a tornado. I hope that'll never happen again. Anyway, I just gave mine it's annual cleaning, just in case I need to get in it.

Where I live everything is built on concrete slabs, no one even has a basement, much less a fruit celler, fallout shelter or storm shelter. 0 -
I have a storm shelter in the SW corner of my basement. In Kansas we have a healthy respect for tornados. My wife lived through the 1966 Tornado here in Topeka. 0 -
I am considering building a "safe room" onto the back of our house, with access from our bedroom. Wife wants a storm shelter. She doesn't want an "ugly" addition to the house. Trying to convince her it would be a lot easier to go into a safe room than to run out into the storm.[;)] 0 -
Have a cold storage room that is a storm room by default concrete on 3 sides and ceiling and 1 1/2" solid wood door. 0
