Casio G-Shock. Never take it off, never worry. Best "boys" watch going.

A guy I know ran into a deal on brand new Zodiac watches for about $50...waterproof and nice. He called and asked if I wanted to buy any Chronograph Zodiacs for $60....I told him to bring me all he could get. Three are on the way!

I like watches....especially pocket watches. They are my #2 "thing"..right under guns!

I agree on the Casio G-Shock, its tough as nails. For dress watches I like the Citizen Eco-drive, it never needs a battery.

Go to Overstock.com you can look at watches till the cows come home and still not be finished, most priced in your range.

Bought my current Timex about ten years ago. Still ticking. I'm on about the fourth band. Think it cost me about $30-35.

    Agreed

    +2

All my Timex watches have crapped out.

I also like Seiko, Sportsmans Guide has had some really nice deals on them.

In addition to a few other good watches, I have a plain Timex that's been beaten and banged, soaked and splattered and still keeps perfect time. They're a very good value that's hard to beat.

Some of the posts remind me of the story- Gent bought a new watch- waterproof, dustproof anti-magnetic self winding. It caught on fire. [:p] FWIW- check around- there are nice older WIND UP watches out there for a few dollars- probably not for everyday wear- That's the $10 Wally World special. My wife bought mea nice 10K Hamilton, 23 jewel, still in its original box- for $15. Makes a nice dress watch.

Wenger watches. These are discontinued models. They sold for $300 or so. You can get one for around $100 no problem.

There have been several good candidates listed here so far. I think you could add Pulsar to the list.[:)]

I have a Citizen and a Timex. The citizen is about 5 years old, the Timex about 15. Both keep excellent time. I paid $25 for the Timex and $89 for the Citizen.

Then again, I have a 20 year old Timex my grandma gave me for my 7th birthday. Too small to actually wear (though it would be fine for a lady) but sure still keeps great time. She paid about $15 for it, their cheapest at the time.
