Four Arrests In Barbie Bandits Case
(WSB Radio) -- Police in Cobb County have arrested four people in the the so-called "Barbie Bandits" bank robbery.
Cobb Police Department Officer Wayne Delk says two teenagers from neighboring Douglas County were brought into Cobb police headquarters for questioning Thursday afternoon.
Two 19-year-old women and a male were stopped Thursday by police about 20 miles from where the robbery occurred about 48 hours earlier. Douglas County Sheriff Major M. O. Harper says police from Cobb County chased the trio into the neighboring county, where deputies were called in to apprehend them. Harper said the three were immediately turned over to Cobb County authorities for questioning.
The women have been identified as 19-year-olds Ashley Miller and Heather Johnson of Fulton County.
Surveillance photos showed two young white women wearing sunglasses and smiling as they gave a teller a note demanding cash at about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Bank of America service center inside Kroger at 1720 Mars Hill Road in Acworth. Delk says the note did not threaten violence, but he did not have details of the text.
Police have also arrested 22-year-old Herman Allen III, a bank teller at the Bank of America. He is from Bartow County. Michael Chastain has also been arrested. The bizarre heist has attracted national media attention.

Hold it a second.
The note didn't threaten violence, the bank teller just handed over money.
Note: I need money. Give me some.
I hand the teller the note, she gives me money in exchange.
What laws, exactly, have been broken? I do something similar once a week when I cash a check at the bank.0 -

I figured as much. Who else would hand money over to a couple of giggling teenage girls. Their buddy was the inside man.0 -
Very astute, spanielsells.
Since they didn't threaten violence, and because they were in cahoots with the teller they cannot be charged with bank robbery.
They have been charged with theft.0 -
A crime could not possibly have been committed because they didn't have a gun. Everyone knows ALL crimes are committed with guns!!! 0
