Computer help. want automatic shutoff

I have windows XP. I want my computer to log off after 30 minutes of inactivity. Invaribly, I forget to log off and computer stays on all night which ties up my phone. Is there any way I can set it to log off? Any suggestions appreciated! Tom

  MY XP DOES THAT DONT KNOW WHY BUT IF I SET SCREEN SAVER TO NONE IT WORKS FINE

  Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Power Options

  I assume that you are using dial-up. If you would rather leave your computer turned on, you can just set the dial up connection to automatically disconnect after a certain amount of inactivity.

  Slider, that is exactly what I want, to disconnect from dial up. How do I go about that?? Thanks much. Tom

  For Windows XP try this..
  
  Start
  Control Panel
  Network and Internet Connections
  Internet Options
  Connections
  Settings
  Advanced Dial up
  Disconnect If Idle for (set the minutes that you wish)
