I asked that same question as soon as I started reading the letter. Who is representing the "gun lobby" in that case?
Anyone got a link to the case?

What they need 50k for? Costs a lot more than that to buy a Supreme Court Justice doesn't it?

Wish Brady would just go away like a bad dream.

Hinkley shot the wrong Brady in the head and didn't use enough gun.

We should all email them and THANK them for bringing to our attention this most URGENT and VITAL need for legal funds to fight this case.

Then let them know that you will be sending those funds to the PRO GUN Groups that will be fighting to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

Its funny that they feel that state and local governments have the right/authority to enact stricted laws than the Constitution allows. So...if my local Redneck Southern government body wants to limit freedom of speech to only those that espouse traditional family values or pro gun ownership and silence all those who are against that...then they shouldnt have any heartburn over that. RIGHT?

Yeah, I didnt think so. Its only gun owners who they feel should give up rights.

Here's my question she said you could donate and it would be tax deductable? Why would it be tax deductable to donate to a anti-gun campaign?

I have often wondered why contributions to the Brady nuts, but my contributions to the NRA and GOA are not?

Somehow it qualifies as a 501c3 and operates as a non profit.

These dirtbags beg so much their hands look like cups!

I am not sure who will become wealthier over this issue, the NRA or the Brady Bunch.

    Sad, truly sad.

BTW, if you did not get a change to listen to this article ( http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=16324652 ), you should take the time to do so.

The brady bunch have a charitable statis, maybe a 501-C3. As such their records, donors, and membership list are open to the public. The nra records are not even open to it's members.

The hearing is in March. I say good luck to the Brady clan if they can find a law firm that will accept $416 a day to prepare for this.
