VERY OLD AMMO?
ever here of a 25-36 caliber? a guy called me a little while ago and asked if i sold ammo,and i replied yes,some.that is when he hit me with the bomb. i have never heard of it. any information will be greatly appreciated

Do you have the ammo, the gun, or both? The Marlin 1893 is the only one I can recall that was chambered for it. 25-35 Winchester can be fired in it, as the case is just a bit shorter. Both rifle and original 25-36 Marlin ammo have a collector value to consider before shooting it.0 -
25-36 was adopted by Marlin in 1895 factory load was 117 gr soft point with a muzzel velocity of 1855 and was not concidered adequate for deer hunting also not a very accurate round.<1FMJ>
