Since things have tightened up on our southern border, it has become more difficult for the Mexican drug cartels to smuggle weed into the USA.

They are now growing it here in the remote, hilly areas of southern Cal. They hire illegal aliens to do the cultivating and harvesting.

There have been some huge pot farms found lately with thousands of plants per farm. Several rental homes in nice areas like Diamond Bar, in eastern LA county, have been converted into growing operations. They install sophisticated drip and lighting systems and fill every room with plants.

They have busted several of these operations recently and put some people in jail.

I'm not so much a fan of hanging out in the closet, myself. I prefer an open-air policy. That's why my girlfriend and I don't wear underwear. You can salute me, if you wish, because my soldier is a Commando.

Seems like every year they find a good size grow around where I live on the DNR or Corp ground around Lake Shelbyville. The big joke is that the family won't have a good Christmas.

    Laredo,
Don't fool yourself......pot is cheaper and of better quality than it's ever been. I don't know personally, but that is the word from a "heavy user" that I know pretty well.

There is a large number of chicken ranches in the remote hilly areas of Southern Cal. Many hire illegal aliens to care for the chickens. It is expected they use large amounts of electricity. They limit people from entering the area to prevent disease to the chickens. They even have their own fertilizer production for plants. Perfect place to grow weed!

Not a good year. Cows ate too much. Normally grows 5-6 feet tall, but the cows like the leaves and small stems. They don't care for the stalks. It grows like a little shrub when they are eating on it, but they have to start eating it early in the year and keep it trimmed.

When I worked construction building a high school one of the electricians advised me to steal a bunch of the special lights from the biology lab. He said he'd explain to me how to set them up in a closet and I could begin a quite lucrative pot growing operation.

Alas, I went with the being a teacher. I guess that explains the shabby clothes and old cars.
