thorn bush ?'s
well i was cleaning up some rubbish at the new cabin . drove thru some thorn bushs with out my gloves on and whamo got bit . i pulled out several thorns but guess i missed a small piece . 3-4 hours later i notice a little pain in my middle finger joint .a hour later lots of pain ,stiffness .
didnt smash my hand but it sure felt like it ? do these bushes have some toxin in them ? i never ran into this problem before but this is the first time the thorns imbedded into my hand .
i cleaned out the wound when i got home and applied the black sauve . seems much better today .

...yes, a lot of thorns have a toxin. Once stuck, or stuck and broke off...aches all to be damn with swelling.
Bullnettle thorns arent long, buy yow-eee! Burn and have turned black and blue and swelled BIG at the spot of the contact.
...Usually get hit in the legs. If you get hit in the legs, shuck you pants and pee on the spot(s) immediately....[;)]

thanks to the infinute wisdom of my fellow gb'ers my hand no longer hurts . been just 48 hours .
a special thanks to kittypealer , i would not approached amputation without your suggestion . sorry about the lack of video , my hand was full .
never thought of getting toxins from a thorn ,heck they look mean enuf to stay away from without it . i keep a glove on from now on .

...and don't forget, whiskey before amputation, lots and lots of whiskey. Once heard of a gal using vodka before amputating a toe with ingrown toenail (with shotgun) and she blew off her whole foot. Thought everyone knew that amputations with a firearm requires whiskey ...... vodka just won't do it! 0
