Another trip to the feed store yesterday
This latest (wendsday) snow/ice/snow, though only about 5 inches of solid frozen stuff thank God finished my deer food. Made it out and picked up 6 bags of Country Acres horse food and 50 lbs craced corn to mix in. Got to get the deer on food stamps though to help me out. Never saw so damned many deer. Counted 18 at one time. Just wish they would keep still, stop fighting and pose for a picture all together for once. Cant use the ATV to take the feed out and its worth my life walking out with my bum legs but so far have got it done with difficulty. Got to get chains for the ATV as to my lower backyard is
about a 40 degree iced slope. However here hopefully is a pic taken
thursday of a few of them.

Thanks for sharing, Joe; appreciate it. Be careful with that snow and ice (as you well know). Better a hungry deer than a banged up, broken hip/leg Joe. 0 -
Hairy: Thanks for your input but when they aint fed they just stand and
stare at the house till I come out with the white feed bucket. Also want to appoligize for my tirades to you a couple of years ago here. I realize now a wartime vet doesnt dis a wartime vet. Sometimes this takes a while to realize. Now I realize it. For that matter, any vet.
We have earned our right the hard way to speak up. Right or wrong we earned our rights the hard way. Cant help but wonder how many others have done the same?0 -

Joe--no problem with your voicing your opinions. I appreciate your point of view and recognize your values.
Too bad more Americans these days don't have the same ones. I remember when a handshake was sufficient to seal a deal; no lawyers, no contracts, just two men using their most valuable assets--their honor. That, I'm afraid, is gone from all levels.
I suspect it started deteriorating when political administrations, both Democrat and Republican, focus more on power than on what is right. I saw it happen with the Democrats and 'Nam. That's what I keep ranting about. Sometimes I feel like Don Quixote.0
