I don't know but would almost bet the machine that my dad had before he died would do the same thing, it was a portable nebulizer for inhale'n meds for COPD
Just a thought, I still have it, might try & see if it works[:D][:D][:D]

    Chunk of dry ice
Container with a small-diameter opening (soda bottle works well)
Highest-proof alcohol you can find (Everclear works best, the less water the better)
    ----

1)Put a small amount (or a large amount, it doesn't matter) of the booze in the container

2)Drop a chunk of dry ice in there (carefully, don't frostburn yourself). Don't cap it unless you want a first-hand demonstration of how dry-ice bombs work.

Solid CO2 naturally sublimates to a liquid over a long period of time. The interaction with the (much warmer) alcohol causes the CO2 to sublimate very quickly, resultantly vaporizing a fair portion of the ethanol and taking it along.

4)Wait a few seconds, then inhale deeply.

The result is a very fast, very intense state of intoxication as the alcohol crosses instantly into the bloodstream via the lungs, as opposed to slowly through the stomach wall (when taken internally).

In a nutshell, you're drunk as a skunk for about 30 seconds, then it passes.

Note: I did this in high school and don't plan on doing so again, simply because it's not all that exciting, and dry ice is expensive. Although frankly, I think they should be promoting this amongst the "poor decision makers" in the college crowd. It's a hell of a lot safer than the traditional method if you think about it. It clears your system in about 30 seconds and the amount you actually inhale is about 1/10th of a teaspoon.

This was on FOX news a few months ago, problem with it according to the experts is the machines give the alcohol a direct route into the blood stream via the lungs making it a bit more potent than having to wait for the body to absorb through the intestines.

Man will always invent ways to screw himself up.[:(]

Sounds like it will go well if used concurrently with ingested alcohol. [:D]

I just tried this in my nebulizer using Everclear and it will do the job however I did not enhale it for obvious reasons. I would suggest that anyone doing this use a low content alcohol beverage otherwise you could die from alcohol toxication.

In some hospitals this thing is very common. For people that need breathing treatment they will also add 10mg of Morphine for pain control. It works great.

that's how it works, but not quite what it does. it has an oxygen generator (however that's supposed to work) and it mixes oxygen with the vaporized alcoholic beverage. so, you're also getting a hit of oxygen along with it.

I wouldn't recommend trying to do the same thing with simply a nebulizer, which couldn't also give you the oxygen. also the AWOL machine has a safety switch of some sort, I don't suppose a nebulizer does.

So lets ask the physicians here how swell an idea it is to enhale everclear. Looks like a really dumb idea to me. Sorry Buschmaster, hope you are not the GB distributor.

I'm not in any rush to get intoxicated. I'd prefer not to, actually.
A light buzz is inevitable when enjoying a beer or a tumbler. No way around it.
Black Label sipped is my last vice, and I'll be the last one to suggest a quicker way to enjoy it.
