Only watched it once, seemed kind of goofy, but may try to tune in again.

I think it is pretty good if you look past the over dramatazation of the anouncer.[;)]

I liked it a bit, but the over dramatization is accurate. They also keep reshowing the same few clips over and over again. 30% of a new episode seemed to be clips already shown.

    Thread drift alert:

I haven't seen the series yet - BUT - while up in Olympia I met and
talked to an old (guy was at least 80) AlCan trucker.

I drove the AlCan back in '76 and wondered how long it took to drive
those semi's from Seattle to Anchorage. They only had a three month
window in those days (paved now) and they ran those armor plated
semi's at a steady 70 Mph. day and night. During the day, you could
see them coming (a big cloud of dust) for miles - looked as big as
Sullivan Class Destroyers and as fast as P51's!

    His answer astounded me.

48 hours from Seattle to Anchorage - 48 back again -
6 hours off and off they'd go again!

Alaskan truckers - I still hold them in awe!

.... I now return you to the regularly scheduled thread!
