I know the subject has been brought up before, but here's a bit of an update on those two Border Patrol agents who were arrested and imprisoned for the DOING THEIR JOBS.[:(!]

Seems Bush's Justice Department actively sought out this drug dealer in Mexico so that they could imprison two Border Patrol agents who had the gall to perform their duties in securing this nation's borders.

What's political about it?
There should be no debate about this: Bush should either pardon those Border Patrol agents or prove without the shadow of a doubt that his allegiance is to Mexico, not the USA.0 -

its not just Bush,,his actions have made me sad I voted for him,,twice,,I still believe he was a better choice than Kerry but he has proven where his alliances are and its not in our best interest,,,there will never be a fence built,,,there will be a general amnesty,,,and all the politicians in washington are crooked,,,all the Border Patrol agents should go on strike and just walk off the job,,,,,I work in an industry that has been run over by the horde of illegal's from south of the border and I know most of the hype you hear about them and the jobs they take are all BULL poopZ,they kill wages and create low paying jobs 0 -

If the Border Patrol agents walked off the job, what would change? They're not allowed to do anything anyway.0 -

What impact will this have on the Gun Broker master plan to shoot on sight (or blow up with land mines) every Mexican that crosses our border?0 -
As an aside, the obviously open borders policy of the U.S. Government exposes the War on Terrorism, Homeland Security, Patriot Act, etc. as what they are, bald faced scams. 0 -

...Dissagree 100% w/W's position on the border, and "guest worker" crapola.
...The two BP agents, according to the prosecutor, did WAY more than their jobs...such as pick up the 15 or so empty caseings (tampering w/evidence, destroying evidence)...shot the illegal dope dealer (7-800lbs.pot) in the azz ([:D]) as he was running away, etc. etc.
Now don't get me wrong, I would have rather seen it a good shoot...and them have hit him between the eyes; but sounds (& a jury agreed) like it was a "bad" shooting.
..."The past", as for W pardening the other dope dealers..was over this past Christmas holiday season, not too distant past! The public stance of the WH now is that it (the pardon) needs to follow the regular procedure that pardons travel.
I think what will happen is that they (BP agents) will sit awhile in prison, or until W's end of term for a pardon.
The Federal prosecutor did not agree with the amount of time given the agents, thought it was a little exccesive himself.
In the begginning sounded as if the agents were getting screwed, but w/the facts, sounds as if they made some BAD choices...and now they have to pay for them...[;)]

I believe they made some mistakes but when the government goes over to Mexico and grants him a immunity to testify against the agents that's to much. I understand he got free medical care,immunity,now suing us for 5 million for a drug dealer. How many more trips will he make over here to deliver the illegal drugs. The jurors have stated they were pressured to convict the agents and some wouldn't have if not for the pressure. Screw the illegal drug dealers and he should be in jail.[:(][xx(][8] 0 -

That being...the tremendous effort by those in high places to eliminate every bit of privacy of decent American citizens...while allowing barbarians free run of America.

You all don't seem to understand that in the end, it all comes back to OIL.
Mexico is our single biggest oil supplier, much bigger than Saudi Arabia.
