I have a single sheet of paper that is 8.3 inches by 32.8 feet. That'll go seven times.
Still, I wouldn't want to try it with an ordinary letter sheet, nor even an ordinary legal sheet.

I doubt it. We ecologists speak about plants that take a LONG TIME to come to sexual maturity, and we're talking about 12 (Cypripedium reginae: the showy ladyslipper orchid) to 20 (Pinus spp. : several of the pine species) years from germination to seed production. I'm sure there are oaks that produce acorns in less than 12 years, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were oak species that took over 20 years before they produced acorns. Maybe even 50 years. But you can't generalize to the whole genus of oaks.

Bizarre, but I kind of believe it. If olives are $6/pound and there are 60 olives per pound, then an olive is worth $0.10. Ten olives make a dollar and if AA had 400,000 first class passengers in 1987, then....well...the numbers add up.
Of course I pulled all of those numbers out of my azz, and in fact the savings sounds a little high to me--I don't think olives weigh as much as they should for my calculation--but it's still food for thought.
