At The Gun Show
On Saturday, I was working at the Bigtown gun show, helping out my friend Steve. I was at the "office" table doing paperwork and NICS checks on people purchasing guns.
One of the other guys handed me a gun he had sold and a man came and sat down across from me. The man gave me his driver's license for identification. The name on it was familiar.
So, I asked the man if he is a schoolteacher. He said he was, but retired. I asked him if he had done his student teaching at my high school, and he had.
He had been a student teacher under in my senior class advanced science class. I would not have recognized him, nor he I, because we both have aged considerably, but he did remember me from class.
It's amazing whom you can meet at a gun show.

Doug, in my case I have absolute proof. See above. We are gonna miss Fluffy.
Although my wife has commented that our house smells better now that Fluffy is gone.0 -
