We all believe our faith will get us to heaven but The Bible says that many will be cast down even having performed miracles and casting out demons in the name of Jesus so maybe you missed the point and your faith wasn't enough. So...suppose the rapture comes and you are still here...you know the bible and this is your wake up call. you refuse to accept the mark of the beast because you know it will damn your soul to hell. according to the Antichrist now in control you cannot buy or sell with out the mark. people are hunting you... police have your name on a list.... I could write a book about this call it "Still here"

I don't know where this notion about "We can only accept a firearm from another FFL! It's the law!" came from.
Frankly, I think it's a combination of willful ignorance and the "good-old-boys club" mentality. Many gun-store owners get pissed that you don't want to buy their overpriced merchandise, so they stamp their little feet and decide to give you a hard time.
You'd be surprised, I think, to see how many gun store owners actually seem to think that their FFL makes them some sort of an authority above and beyond the law on deciding when you can get ahold of a gun YOU paid for!0 -

I didn't check, but it sounds like you have git_r_done this.
I recently called a receiving FFL on this, took her to the line.
Over a C&R rifle, no less. Asked her to contact the ATF and get a clarification of the law.
And shipped the rifle USPS. I did, as always, include a clear coopy of my state-issued picture identification.0 -

Thats what I wonder. Most all gun dealers I have seen sell some used guns. Well someone had to recieve those used guns. And nobody can tell me that all the used guns in gun shops came from FFL holders.
But this guy's FFL also truely believed that it was illegal for me as a private individual to even ship a gun.
When I talked to this FFL I fully explained how I ship guns and even went into how he he would log the gun into his books (I now know how this is done as I have been with my FFL as he is doing it on guns I have bought). He told me you must be an FFL since I know as much as I do. I just said that I have been through it enuff as a buyer and have bought quite a few guns online from private people.
I had also told him I would send a copy of not only my drivers licence but my concealed carry permit as well.
Bottom line is this FFL only wants to believe what he wants to believe. And I don't think even showing him the regulations on this would work with him.0 -
Don't know why some dealers have got to be such a pain. If someone wants me to receive a gun for them, I give them a copy of my FFL and say $20. No problem, and they mail it with their payment. I do make sure if I'm receiving from a non FFL that I get a copy of their state ID. Easy!

I fully understand what you are saying.
I guess I am lucky in that aspect as my FFL works great with me. He fully understands that I can get some better deals online and has no problems recieving a gun for me. He also knows that if the price I find online is close to his price that I am comming to him to make the purchase. There has even been times were he has matched the price I have found online so I would buy from him.
And as a curtosy I allways talk with him before I buy online to give him the chance to match and such. He is a great guy to work with.0 -

Always nice when you find one of those. I had a dealer like that I worked with when I was in VA. His philosophy was "Better to take the $30 plus whatever ammo/etc. you want to buy on the spot than refuse to deal and end up with no sale and a guy who won't come back."
On the other hand, his competitor down the street (who was apparently doing a booming business despite his ridiculous prices) actually cursed at me when I asked him what his price was for an FFL transfer. Like that was going to make me want to buy his crappy merchandise.0
