He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight,

Thank you all for the nice comments and such. I truly live to do this. My beard is real, but colored with theatrical paint, and my belly is real too. I have played Santa Claus for 30yrs now. My first gig was when I was 18 for my old hometown. I continued to play Santa while I was in the Army and go to different family homes, plus I even played for my companies and battalions. I use to have to wear a wig and beard then and stuff a pillow in for my gut. These days I play Santa for different towns, organizations, headstarts, churches, and even our local nursing home. I provide this service absolutely free to my communities, and for families I usually receive a small donation to help pay for my gas. I really get a kick out of watching the little kids reactions and it always puts a smile on everyones face. This is the first year for my wife to dress up as she says she never wants to be the center of attention. She did a great job though today. 0 -
