Question for Leathermen, muleskinners, or boot

Re boots:
Due to my weight loss, my foot size has shrunk. My Tony Llama cowboy boots that I have just gotten broken in after 6 yrs no longer fit. (I tried wearing thicker socks...no it doesn't work...)
Anyone ever try soaking them or some other method to shrink them. I kknow that Mink oil will soften & expand leather...I am looking for the reverse.
I will bite the bullet and buy a new pair if forced: but getting rid of a good pair of boots is kinda like selling a favorite rifle.

Any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

  have had worn/stretched boots that "shrunk to fit" by getting them good and wet and wearing them till dry. very un-comfortable day of walking in wet boots, but if yer desterate enough...

  To stretch them to fit soak them and walk them dry. To shrink them you soak them and let them air dry.

  Swede, soak them and let them set in front of a warm heat register, try them on and if loose do it again. Also use gel soles inside to take up more space. Of course none of this is very good for the boots but I would give it a try.
