Our second amendment right to keep and bear arms says nothing about having or owning or buying ...ammo..think about it..price increase..yea right...I doubt it will ever come down either..[V]..Loko

Collecting is expensive. I try to do it as cheap as I can, but any hopes of guns coming down in cost I think is unrealistic. Ammo could come down in cost theoretically, but never enough to make shooting a cheap hobby again.

firearms will continue to be my hobby along with cars. I don't care if gas is 5 bucks a gallon I will still do what I enjoy.

Nope, I don't think anything will really come down for good again, maybe bits and pieces for a little while, but nothing big or permanent.

Nope, the "good old days" are gone.
But many years from now we will be saying today are the "good old days"[:0]

I've thought about giving up on increasing my collection and getting more into beer brewing.

Spread yourself out on hobbies. The more the better. You don't have to quit one to start another. There are a million things to do and enjoy in this life. Only problem that I've encountered is there is just not enough time in the day or week to do all that I want.[:(][:(][:(]

    No, I don't.

In fact, I imagine that prices will go up as the Globalist Party realizes the cash cow that can be milked in taxing these items, much like the taxes on cigarettes and tobacco products.

Just a matter of time before our blessed predatory government gets wise to that idea.

I hate to say it, but this is a very inexpensive hobby compaired to mny others out there. Lets look at the three I love, Shooting, Racing, Flying.

Flying: It would cost me in excess of $10,000 just to get my pilots license. I would have to build up 500 Hours of flite time in rentals before I could become a partner in my dads plane, that is at $150 per hour. Once I became a patner I would have to share 1/3 of the cost of the plane, that would have cost me $15,000 just last year. If you have a bad day flying, you die, if you live it will cost over $100,000 to replace the plane.

Racing: I used to race super comp dragster. That is $20,000 for the car, $35,000 for the motor, $10,000 for assorted eletronics and that is not counting the cost of a tow vehicle, trailer, race fees ect... This is all to get you to the track, not actually racing. A bad day racing can easly cost you $35,000 to $40,000 if you lose a motor, trans or smack the wall.

Shooting: A new gun will cost between $150 to $1000, a full on custom built tactical rifle will only run $2500. For $1000 I can be fully outfitted with a top of the line reloading set up. Lets say I go to the range with a FNP9, I paid $400 for the gun, I bought 8 Boxes of ammo for $80 giving me 400 rounds to shoot. If I have a bad day at the range and you blow up the gun it will cost you $480 for the gun and ammo and $15 for range fees. Dang that sure does sound cheep to me...
