Accomplish any chores this weekend?
I did replace the faucet in the kitchen this weekend (yesterday). Took 2-trips to Lowe's and a few stupid mistakes by me to turn a 1-hour job into about a 3-hour job. Seems like that always happens when undertaking a, somewhat, simple chore. Complications seem to just appear when right in the middle of it.

It's time for me to make a "giant" batch of sauce today. I got it all put-together, and on the stove to simmer for 4-5 hours.I'm sure it's driving the neighborhood CRAZY!!![:p]

Good few days around my place.....
Got everything ready for my sons and I for Whitetail season next weeked. All the guns are sighted in, all the clothes washed, the knives sharpened and equipment all checked out.
Wired my downstairs family room for sound and set up speakers for both the XBox 360 and listening to tunes.
Moved stuff around in my office and put placed better speakers for the TV and Tunes.
Now I have to clean up the mess I made doing it all.....[:D]0 -

Not done all this weekend but this past week when I had days off.
Change all the light switches in the house to the new flat style. Changed all my crappy GFCI switches with decent ones. Put the plow on the GMC K2500[V], it's getting to be that time of year.
Need to vacuum, but don't really feel like it.0 -

Made progress on some of the side jobs that will mean making the rent, etc this and next month. Inletted barrel key inlays into the stock of a muzzleloader I'm finishing up, built and painted a batch of planting boxes, spent a couple hours under a house insulating the owner's water pipes, went into work yesterday to wash a bus.... Also did a couple loads of laundry and am looking unhappily at the sawdust and wood shavings I tracked into the house from the shop, knowing eventually I'll have to break the vacuum cleaner out. Meanwhile the dogs are trying to persuade me that all of the above means nothing if they don't get a treat soon.
Funny thing is, I'm sitting here feeling like I'm wasting time and had better get something done before the weekend's completely over. They say necessity is the mother of invention -- it seems poverty is the father of motivation. [;)]0 -
