    That whizzing sound the bullet makes as it's coming back is sickening. Thats the worst sound you can hear when you're shooting (besides the infamous KABOOM).

    The one guys says 'no more iron' at the end of the video, so I assume they were shooting at some big piece of scrap iron. If thats the case, then its understandable why it richocheted. Perhaps they were shooting plain FMJ at the iron instead of Armor Piercing.

    Clearly it's coming back below the speed of sound, and it impacts the ground before hitting the guy in his earmuffs. I don't know if it would have killed him had it hit him in the head, but it would definitely take out an eye or make a huge gash.

    what are the odds of that. the plate or piece of iron would have had to been leaning perfectly to send a bullet back to the point of origin like that.
    every steel plate i've ever shoot with my 300 win. the bullet went clean through. I only get a richochete if i am shooting a rim fire at the plate. and that is even very rare.

    A local guy shot himself in the face a few years ago doing the same thing. He stuck a 1/4 steel plate in the pond dam below his house, and shot at it with an SKS from about 75 yards. Came back and hit him just below the right eye, and lodged under the skin.
