I just heard on the radio that NJ is going to stop observing Veterans Day and Memorial Day. Anyone care to tell me why? My brother is stationed at Mcguire AFB. I went to visit him last summer. I am a country boy raised in Mississippi and let me tell you I dislike NJ ALOT.[:(!] Too many reasons to list here but now I have two more.[V] 0 -

I think what you are talking about is a bill to stop teaching about Veterans Day and Memorial Day, and several other significant events in history, in New Jersey schools. Somehow the legislature seems to think they will save bales of money if the schools stop teaching the few things they still teach. I think they abandoned teaching reading years ago. 0 -

You seem to have some interesting idols there Kimi, both Lew Rockwell and Thomas DiLorenzo are about as anti-Bush and anti-Iraq War as they come. Rockwell even believes that the United States should not have gotten involved in World War II. DiLorenzo called Bush a "dictator" and compared his Administration to the Nazis.0 -
